MLP appoints renowned personalities to the Corporate University Advisory Board

  • The newly assembled Advisory Board commenced its work at the end of December
  • Renewed documentation for the high training quality and the scientific foundations of the MLP training
Wiesloch, 4th January 2011 - The MLP Corporate University has a new Advisory Board. In the future, members of the Advisory Board will include:

  • Dr. Manfred Antoni (Director at Ernst Klett AG),
  • Prof. Hans-Peter Burghof (University of Hohenheim),
  • Bernadette Conraths (Otto Beisheim School of Management),
  • Prof. Manfred Erhardt (inter alia also the former Senator for Science and Research for the State of Berlin and Secretary-General of the ‘Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft’),
  • Prof. Wolfgang Franz (President of the Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim and Chairman of the German Council of Economic Experts),
  • Prof. Stefan Hornbostel (Humboldt University of Berlin, Head of the Institute for Research Information and Quality Assurance in Bonn),
  • Prof. Wilfried Müller (Rector of the University of Bremen and Vice-President of the German Rectors’ Conference for Apprenticeships, University Studies and Licenses),
  • Prof. Rolf Tilmes (Dean of the EBS European Business School, Vice-President of EBS University of Business & Law) and
  • Prof. Armin Trost (Furtwangen University Business School).
Professor Rupert Huth, former Vice-President of the German University Rector’s Conference and founding rector of the University of Pforzheim remains as the chairman.

The advisory board is, in addition to the board of directors, the second body of the MLP Corporate University and provides support for strategic issues as well as for the development of training concepts. In addition the board regularly reviews the contents, teaching and learning tools, as well as the examination procedures and advises MLP in matters of cooperation management with universities and associations.

As one of only 15 European Corporate Universities the MLP Corporate University (CU) is accredited by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). Since 2005 MLP consultants can acquire a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which MLP offers in collaboration with international partner universities. In addition the MLP consultants can prepare for the certification to Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the highest internationally recognized training standard for financial consultants, at the Corporate University. MLP CU registered in March 2010 for accreditation by the umbrella organization Financial Planning Standards Board Deutschland e.V. (FPSB Deutschland).

The inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board was held on 22nd December.
